For light soiling:
VFG quick cleaning plugs are compact (without a center hole) and available in all common caliber sizes. They have a diameter that fits tightly into the barrel of your weapon. When the shot is fired, the excess pressure in the barrel and the rapid acceleration compress the felt lengthwise. This longitudinal compression causes the felt plug to increase its diameter. This presses the felt against the barrel wall with great force and creates the desired cleaning friction. The felt plug presses into the grooves and follows the twist. This means that every part of the barrel is reliably cleaned.
To prevent fiber particles from remaining in the barrel, we generally recommend inserting a pointed pellet behind the felt element in the barrel and shooting both together!
If the dirt is severe, we recommend regular cleaning with the Match Pocket Set and the appropriate cleaning agent. This should mainly be used when metal deposits build up. The deposits are removed by pulling the flexible Match Pocket Set cord through several times. If necessary, repeat the process with new felt elements and cleaning agent.
The comfort barrel cleaner and the intensive barrel cleaner are equipped with a center hole for mounting on the adapter. The necessary friction pressure and compression of the felt element is achieved by pulling the barrel cleaner through. Of course, a single felt plug cannot clean a barrel that has not been cared for for years or has even rusted. That is why it is important that it does not get that far with your weapon.
And because this procedure is so convenient and easy, you should use it regularly.
